Yes, golf has tremendous integrity, but no entertainment... :lmao: :lmao:[/quote]
Depends on your skillsets; or lack thereof.

Indeed, golfers lack the skill sets required to pilot an F1 car, I imagine there's a few F1 drivers who golf however.

I'm joking of course, golf requires special skills but is ultimately an individual sport in the truest sense. F1 is team sport in it's truest sense so it would be an apples and oranges comparison IMO although I see what your getting at. It seems to me that you really don't like team orders, because you're so bothered by someones individual loss or the perceived loss of glory more so than just the fact that rules exist that top teams circumvent. You're not sitting on the fence here, you've clearly jumped over to one side, but thats OK.

I don't have a problem at all with anyone's particular views on this subject, this is why I started the thread to begin with, I was wanting everyone's view. I am somewhat bothered by the Swissfan's post though. If he feels the need for a post like that, I think he should have started a thread titled "this place has gone to hell" instead of posting in this thread. By posting here, he seems to be pointing a finger at me, and I feel the thread is totally relevant.

Also, Terrible Ted posts saying he wishes he could close the thread. Before starting the thread I searched the website for past threads involving team orders, I got 1 thread that discussed Barrachello's exploits. I didn't want to use the race thread to ask your opinions because I assume that some people wont see the question, I wanted EVERYBODY to see the question.

I'm fairly new here, so the Swiss dudes post was a shock to me. I guess he doesn't like people arguing at all, this sport breeds passion, very hard not to argue at times, impossible really, unless everyone has the same opinion and we'll never see that on ANY message board that involves ANY sport, sorry for the rant... :ferrari: :flag:

A question... what happens if Seb flubs his first corner again and Massa storms to a lead and the same situation plays out will they ask Massa to pull aside again?

Thats a serious question Im not trying to stir the pot but just wondering? I expect Red Bull and Ferrari to lock out the first two rows.
:mclaren:

If that happens, Massa will "miss a shift" and Alonso will assume the lead.........

If one is a Ferrari fan and posts what one thinks, one is stirring the pot, a troublemaker, a malcontent.

If one is a McLaren fan, or just anti-Ferrari, one can post all sorts of things against Ferrari (including some fairly malicious stuff), and one is just being "informative" or just "voicing their opinion" or "initiating a conversation"....

Strange.....I'm neither a :ferrari: or a :mclaren: fan, and yet I'm called all of those things.

Yes, something more severe would be appropriate. What about banning Alonso and Massa for life? Or better yet, Ferrari for life? And what about taking all the WDC and WCC that Ferrari has won away... Wait, it can be even better! Hand them to McLying!!!

Or maybe that is not severe enough...

Wow! You should listen to yourself sometime.
Did you mistake me for someone else? Maybe you think I'm some phantom McLaren supporter come to torment you? Do you have any idea how juvenile you sound? I waited a few days and tried to give you the benefit of the doubt. I've decided you're just a f*(&^ing a$$hole.

This place is now far worse than the Speed forum ever was.

I came over here because I liked the pool. I don't like it enough to remain.

It's a good thing they took the time to write down those rules pertaining to team orders. You might want to take the time to read them  When they remove those from the regs, then they can do whatever they want. Until then they must be respected by all the players in the circus.

As for what you think my opinion is, you're wrong....again. Congrats on keeping that record intact :guinness: If I rob a bank and don't get caught is it legal or ?

If I was 'in control' of F1 I'd make huge changes. The drivers would not be contracted to teams, but to the FOM. There would be 20 races and 10 two-car teams. Every driver would race each car - picked by lottery. The Thursday prior to every race would be a test day allowing the team to become familiar with the driver...and I, as FOM, would charge a small fee to the fans would like to watch these proceedings :bernie:

Now we'd have a real Constructors and Drivers world championship....and it would keep these whinny lumps of carbon grounded too having to wrestle that POS HRT. The drivers would be free to adorn themselves with all the sponsors they could garner and I would only require 5% as I'm so magnanimous.

This would have any effect on the real Tifosi as the real Tifosi support the car, not the flavor of the year.

Back to the real world - the rules are there plain as day. It doesn't matter if you agree with them. If you want to play in this game you have to follow ALL the rules; not just the ones that suit you.

I'm sorry if I offended you (although I didn't call you names like you did). But if you think this is worse than Speed... Go back there!

My pool water is only at 1.5 - 2 on the chlorine scale (I'm working on getting it just a bit higher; like 2-3). How can I have green hair (I will say my family is known for their hair...yeah I know I'm bragging. I could tell Bill gates to get the F out of my neighborhood if hair was sellable.....and armed with that info (and a fiver) I could get a cup of joe. Image
